AKG P120 High-Performance General Purpose Recording Microphone

The AKG P120 is a condenser microphone designed for recording vocals, instruments, and speech in studio and live sound applications. The AKG P120 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, which offers high sensitivity and wide frequency response for capturing detailed and accurate sound. The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern, which means it captures sound primarily from the front while rejecting sound from the sides and rear. This helps reduce unwanted background noise and feedback, making it suitable for recording in various environments. The P120 has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, providing a balanced and natural sound reproduction across the audible spectrum. This makes it versatile for capturing a wide range of instruments and vocals. The microphone has a high sensitivity of -34 dBV/Pa, which allows it to capture clear and detailed audio even at lower volume levels. This makes it suitable for recording both loud and soft sound sources. The P120 can handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) of up to 150 dB, allowing it to capture loud sound sources without distortion or clipping. This makes it suitable for recording drums, guitar amplifiers, and other loud instruments. The microphone features switchable attenuation pads (-20 dB, -10 dB) and low-cut filters (switchable at 300 Hz and 12 dB/octave), allowing users to tailor the microphone's response to different recording scenarios and environments. The P120 features a rugged, an all-metal die-cast body, which provides durability and reliability in professional recording environments. It also includes a shock-mount to reduce handling noise and vibrations during recording. The microphone includes a standard 3/8-inch threaded mount, allowing it to be easily mounted on microphone stands, booms, and shock mounts for versatile placement and positioning.
