Need for Speed: Carbon is a 2006 racing video game and the tenth installment in the Need for Speed series. Developed by EA Black Box and published by Electronic Arts, it was released on various platforms. The game revolves around illegal street races in Palmont City, where players aim to take control of the city from different street-racing gangs. It introduced new features like crews, racing wingmen, Touge-styled events, and enhanced customization options.Players engage in various styles of races with licensed real-world cars that can be upgraded and customized. The gameplay includes competitive races, checkpoint races, sprints, drifting, and police pursuits. Carbon also introduced Canyon events, inspired by Japanese TÅge racing, where players compete on canyon roads with destructible guardrails.
