Operating instructions: The bulb is operated like a normal household bulb and can be turned ON/ OFF using the light switch. The bulb has an internal battery that will be charged whenever the light switch is set to ON. During a power failure, it will become an emergency bulb and will switch on automatically as long as the light switch is set to ON. If the light switch is OFF, the user must turn on the bulb by using the light switch when the light is required.
